concern andd quiry

I just want to find out how long does it take chicken to rot. I bought chicken liken yesterday around 17.00 in the afternoon in rustenburg town. I bought 6 piece. We ate 4 last night. This morning around ten i wanted to eat the left overs but it was already rottern . It had small worms in it. Being scared i gave it to my dog. I just want to know how long does it take for chicken to rot.we cannot be safe now days. M just worrit wat if it was like that when we ate it or not.aish
