CHICKEN LICKEN PHOENIX PLAZA DISGUSTING SERVICE

An absolutely disappointing experience at Chicken Licken in the Phoenix Plaza. Firstly I had placed an order to eat in for my husband and I and it slipped my mind to purchase the sachet sauce. Our food arrives and husband went to the cashier to purchase the sauce he was told you can't swipe for less than R18 he then asked for 6 sachets of sauce as this equates to R18 he was then told he can't swipe for R18. An arguments then continues with the cashier about there being no sign to say no swiping for R18 and under. On our end we receiving a lot of attitude from the staff and asked for the manager who firstly in no where in sight. My husband then proceeded to sit at the table and start eating... still without any compromise of selling the sauce to us.... the manager Leon then arrives and in a very arrogant loud tone asks the cashier WHERE IS HE?? He was obviously loud enough for us to have heard him at the back of the store.

His approach as a manager was as if he was a **** fr God knows where.. which I personally did not appreciate... My husband tried telling him the situation but he continued to defend the stores so called rule. We also tried explaining to him that we had already done a purchase for our food. He then tries resolve the issue in a personal level by saying to my husband he is sure he also works with staff and he compromises with them.. at this point I don't understand we are paying customers why should we compromise when we are doing a purchase for R18. He also went on to tell us that this is a rule of CHICKEN LICKEN a few mins later he says it's the FRANCHISE OWNERS rule which I don't believe to be fair considering we just spent about R170 on our food. I don't know what the rules are at chicken licken but is this the Level of customer service we should be getting. Does the store manager think that he can belittle customers in front of the store??? Is this the way Chicken Licken train franchise owners?? And these owners allow their staff to behave in this manner because the storeay not be situated in an elite area... CHICKEN LICKEN PHOENIX PLAZA this is pathetic!!
