Worst childcare facilities

What a terrible experience! This review unfortunately cannot convey the magnitude of the anger and disgust I have towards this pathetic establishment. The focus of my review isn’t actually orientated on Chevy Lane’s food (which is greasy, underwhelming and overpriced for the quality by the way) but rather the childcare - or lack therof. We decided to come to Chevy lane only because of it’s “great” play facilities for children. With childminders and video surveillance reflected on TV screens in the restaurant, one has a false sense of security that it’s a suitable place for your child to play. Needless to say, this cannot be ****her from the truth. We had placed our 2-and-a-half year old son within the gated play area and had come to sit down at our table. After placing our order we looked on the TV screens to locate our son in the play area. He was nowhere to be seen! Panicking, my husband, brother-in-law and I rushed to look for my son. After seeing that he wasn’t in the play area, we luckily found him wandering OUTSIDE the restaurant entrance in tears! He had come out the play area himself! There is no sign-in-sign-out system where only parents or guardians can place or remove a child from the play area - children come and go as they please! What is worse though, that upon asking the childminder at the entrance of the play area if she had seen our son, she rep**** that she did not open the gate for any child fitting that description - but stated flippantly that sometimes children just wriggle through a gap in the play area fence! A known security defect mentioned with such non-chalance - simply unacceptable. We luckily found my son but other parents may not be so lucky. If you fancy keeping your child safe and alive, please do not pay a visit to this disappointing establishment - I know that we never will again. It is difficult to comprehend the magnitude of such blatant negligence: there are many things replaceable in this world - a child isn’t one of them.
