Chevreau Development and Construction - builders with no integrity
Do not use these "developers". We built our house with them in 2016 and within 4 months we noticed that the bricks were "popping"; they came and patched up the bricks and then it happened again a year later. They again came and patched up, however, after the 3rd year in a row we decided to get an expert in. It has now been established that they used defective bricks to build our house and our entire house is a latent defect. The NHBRC has ruled in our favour and after months of negotiating (they even told the NHBRC how they will fix the house etc) they have now at the 11th hour walked away from all their responsibilities and stated that they will not fix the property and that the NHBRC must do it. Our house cost us R4 200 000.00 and is now worth NOTHING. Chevreau (run by Martin and Alain) have simply walked away with ALL our money and refuse to effect repairs because it will cost them too much money! The damage to the house is so bad that it is a safe and healthy risk. Be VERY aware of this company, they will take your money and use substandard materials and then simply blame it on their supplier. I have no contractual relationship with their supplier so I don't care about his excuses. They are currently building a new complex in Craigavon so please be very aware!
