Please see the following facts regarding our experience over the last week: 1. Sales person; at the dealership on Tuesday 03/12/2024, we were told by Sales person that we could get the Chery Omoda 1.5 Style for R299900, this was confirmed later by Whatsapp. 2. When we were contacted to come view the vehicle on Wednesday 04/12/2024 it was in a very dirty condition and when I mentioned fuel consumption as 7.3l/100k the sales person failed to correct me (We choose this vehicle because of the 117kw motor combined with 6.9l/100km fuel consumption and the price). At this point we still believe that this vehicle was a Chery Omoda 1.5 Style. 3. After leaving the dealership we requested the paperwork to be sent through to view details of the finance contract which after 2 days was not sent through by the Finance department or Sales person even after numerous requests. 4. Friday 06/12/2024 Phoned The Finance department to request paperwork once again. Received paperwork at 08h38 but was busy at work at the time and didn't have the opportunity to go through it, but noticed the price changed, which I queried with The Sales person. He responded with "my manager said we cannot drop the price". Took my lunch break at 10h24 to go to the dealership to chat to the Sales person. When I arrived the Sales person was busy and I waited till he invited me to have a seat in his office. Once he had dealt with other business that he was busy with he turned to me and said "open the sms and complete the FICA onboarding process". At no point was I given the opportunity to discuss the details, nor were any of the added expenses explained to me and at 10h47 I received the contract and was told to sign it and if I have any issues I could resolve them later. After receiving the vehicle I realized that many of the features of the Chery Omoda 1.5 Style were not present on the vehicle. I also noticed a dent on the tailgate of the vehicle that was not disclosed to me, when I brought it up with The Sales person he pretended not to know about it. I also noticed I was charged R4900 for Service and Delivery yet I Collected the vehicle, With just a quarter tank of fuel. I also noticed that I was charged for Smash and Grab that was never fitted or disclosed as an expense. It was at this point that I realized that they sold me a Chery Omoda 1.5 Street and not the Chery Omoda 1.5 Style.
I was promised a Chery Omoda 1.5 Style at R299900 and as you can see this is not what i received.
I have requested a meeting with the Dealer Principal which does not look like it is going to happen. It has been a week now and i have not received any calls/missed calls from the Dealer Principal or any other form of communication.
