Exceptional service and compassion

The frame of my grandmother's glasses broke last week. I took her to an optometrist in Strand who said they couldn't fix it. On Tuesday I took her to Cherry De Beer Optometrists at Cinnamon Square, Strand. They said they could try to fix it and that it would cost R120. My grandmother was very disheartened because obviously this is a lot of money for a pensioner. On Wednesday morning I received an SMS notifying me that the glasses were ready. When I got there to collect the glasses, they were repaired perfectly, and in addition, the gentleman told me it was free of charge. This meant so much to my grandmother. It's wonderful to know that there are still businesses with so much compassion for people.
