Was almost in an accident, almost bumped by a car thanks to your faulty pram.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding the premature failure of the pram I purchased from Game Parow Centre in Cape Town, Parow, in April 2023, for R2499.99.
The pram's defects became apparent when my daughter was just five months old, with issues ranging from malfunctioning velcro straps to alarming play in the hinges where the pram folds. This critical failure poses a significant risk to my child's safety, as the pram folds while in use.
Despite reporting these issues to Game, I was shocked to discover that the warranty only covers repairs to the velcro straps, leaving me with no recourse for the pram's structural failures. The ineffective communication and lack of transparency throughout this process have compounded my distress.
To address these concerns, I spent R60.00 on an Uber to Game N1 City (as the Parow branch closed) and an additional R60.00 for the return trip, totalling R120.00. However, the issue remained unresolved. Following the manager's call, I spent another R60.00 on Uber trips, bringing the total expenditure to R240.00. when I took the pram to Game N1, I spoke to someone in the correct department, was wasn’t I informed then and there that only the Velcro staps are covered, I was told to leave the pram and that the pram will be sent to the manufacturer and they will state is they can assist and what costs are involved, so imagine my surprise when the N1 branch manager called me to tell me something I could have been told over the phone, that the hinges are not covered so I went back and forth for nothing.
The most harrowing incident occurred on [Date] when I was pushing the pram with my daughter, who weighs [weight] and is considered underweight according to her clinic book. As I was hurrying to get onto the sidewalk, a car suddenly turned the corner. The pram's hinges gave way, causing it to fold catastrophically. The driver slammed on the brakes, narrowly avoiding a collision. My daughter and I were shaken, and I was left trembling with fear.
The driver's alarmed expression and swift reaction underscored the gravity of the situation. Had the pram folded a split second later, the consequences could have been disastrous. This traumatic experience has left me anxious and worried about my child's safety whenever we use the pram, these people wanna Tell me I have to get courier the pram from cape town to JHB out my own pocket for them to fix it, when I took the pram to Game the first time the pram was still in warranty. It's up to me to speak to thier partner Game to ask if they could assist and find a payment method, if I knew all this I would Never have purchasedthwir product/s
