Chef Jacques Restaurant at Stepping Stones Village Honeydew

We were invited to celebrate a family friends’ 80th Birthday. The only restaurant that I have ever been to where all 27 people in attendance had sub-standard food, and I was sworn at by the owner, because I asked for the chips that should have been served with the Fish & Chips on the menu. We were a party of 27 people, and the Chef/owner could clearly not handle a party of this size, while still serving the restaurants other lunch guests. Said family friend had been to sample the menu prior to booking and the food served for the tasting and the food served for her birthday party were no where near to the same standard. The food was near inedible with all 27 people not enjoying their main course. Main courses were supposed to have been served with a choice of chips, vegetable or salad. None were served with the sides, but small plates of deep-fried potatoes and undercooked vegetables were served. Not enough for all the people at the table. When I asked for the chips that were supposed to be served with my children’s Fish & Chips, we were given a small platter of chips, barely enough for one portion. I asked the owner for the other portion of chips, and I was told that I was being “F…….” unreasonable. To top off the experience, I was charged for drinks that we did not have and I was charged 2 different prices for 2 identical milkshakes.
