Ridiculous service and **************.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever went though at a pub. Last night me and a few of my friends went to Cheers Durbanville, to watch the soccer and have a few drinks. Before the time me and my girlfriend went in first to ask the bar lady if it will be possible to watch the game there. The bar lady was so rude and unfriendly and the way she spoke to us was unacceptable. I left it and when I asked her something she gave me a rude and sarcastic answer. I then went to fetch my friends, because they are not from this area. When we came in the bar lady and the manager both made comments about us to the regulars that was sitting at the bar. Then after we bought our first rounds, they came and told us that we will not have sound to watch the game, because this is a pub. I then told her that last time I was here with one of there regulars we had sound. She then told me that she was there but not on duty and with her we will not have sound. Then I told her that I understand she wants to play music, but there are still other guys on their way does this mean we should go somewhere else? She did not reply and just walked away while I was talking to her. The guys then said they do not feel welcome and we should rather go. Then I asked her if I can speak to the manager and then I heard the manager use offensive language towards us ("are they still going on about the F@ck#ng sound") After that I decided to rather go before I lose my temper. While we were walking out the manager and bar lady said, "have a nice night" and then I lost it. So I asked them why are you treating us like this and you are losing customers. I told them that last time when I was here with your regulars you treated me different. I told them that I heard the comments that they made towards us so I wanted to know why. And the first thing the manager told me is that this is not because of our race. One of my friends then asked what is it then, do you not feel comfortable or unsafe serving a group of coloreds? When I told her that I will report this, then all of a sudden she wanted me to sit down and talk to me, to convince me to rather leave it. I told her that this is unacceptable and I will report this.

After that we went to Bosa Durbanville and we got A 10 out of 10 experience. The staff was friendly and the service was outstanding. I take my hat off for Bosa Durbanville 10/10.

If this is what customer service is at Cheers Durbanville I will never put my foot there again. Living in the age that we are in now, this type of treatment is unacceptable and we all felt discriminated against.
