Poor Service

I refer to the above company (Chedgo Construction, Owner by the name of Godknows)) which gave me a quote on pool repairs/renovations beginning of September. The quote stipulated pool to be reduced to 7m x 4m x 1.6m deep. They came immediately after accepting quote and started. I constantly had to deposit monies into his bank account to enable him to purchase the materials for pool. They eventually finished the pool towards the end of September. Well the pool is NOT the size as per the quote !!! It is smaller and not 1.6m deep!!!! The pool light was not working and he sent his electrician to fix - but could not fix. Some water must be drained to get to the light itself and as told to be back the next day. I'm still waiting. He then gave me a quote on paving around the pool and immediately gave him a deposit of R6000-00 to start getting materials. This was beginning of October. I waited and waited. Constantly sending him WhatsApp messages. Some instances he just did not get back to me and I then keep on sending messages. I contacted him on a few occasions but no reply. The messages continued. 1. On the 8th Oct I sent message - he rep**** that they will come and that he is just around the corner. No one came neither did he. 2. 9th Oct - I sent two messages requesting that if he is not able to do paving he to refund me my deposit of R6000-00 so that I can get other people to do so - rep**** that he had a fight with his supplier but will finish the following day 10th which never happened. 3. 11th - sent message as to what is happening and he rep**** that they are on there way. I have sent 6 messages on the 11th as no one pitched and he did not respond. 4. 12th - he rep**** that he had a problem with the truck he hired and that they got arrested and that he will talk as soon as he has been released - and also they did not want to give him his bricks - waited whole day but nothing and sent another mess at 17:41 5. 13th - two messages - no response 6. 14th - two messages - no response 7. 15th - one message stating that he should phone me urgently - no response. 8. I in the interim went on holiday on the 19th and left all till I return. 9. Eventually on the 22nd he rep**** stating that he got his bricks and he will come the Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th and I thanked him. 10. I returned on Fri 26th to see that NOTHING has been done and sent him another message stating that should he not turn up by Monday morning - I'd rather want my R6000-00 deposit back and that I am taking this matter further as I cannot wait almost a month for my money or paving to be done. The pool has cracks and need to know when he is coming to fix. 11. Monday 29th I sent mess at 08:46 to find out what is happening - at 09:55 he rep****... " my guys are coming" 12. 12:33 no sign of anyone and tried to call but no answer - sent message 13. 13:38 another message as no one pitched 14. 14:32 another stating that I no longer require his services and that I need my deposit NOW to purchase materials for other guys - he rep**** that he does not have the cash now and that I should wait till next week. 15. 15:33 sent mess stating that I cannot wait till next week. He did not wait for deposit but I have to wait for almost 3 weeks. I want my deposit NOW. I told him that I am listing him with debt collectors and will be sending a review on Hello Peter etc. Rep**** at 15:53 stating that he had personal issues and problems and that he could only get my money next week. 16. At 17:57 I sent mess demanding the following information before 11 am on Tuesday 30th Oct. a. The date he will bring my deposit of R6000-00 b. The date he will come and fix cracks in the pool and same day c. The written guarantee for pool as promised and also d. The weir filter is so tight that no one can open to clean. It is now 12:09 and no response whatsoever from him although his was online and must have read my last message. It was one story after the other and i just cannot rely on him any longer. I have been patient enough and cannot wait any longer. Whether the stories were true only he knows but he should not bring personal issues to his customers as that is really unproffesional business relationship. All I want is my deposit R6000-00 back and that he must now come and fix the cracks in the pool. Obviously the pool is filled up and they need to drain all the water to get to the cracks and that HE MUST BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for filling up the pool again !!!!
