Customer Service Complaint

Visited Check Save Supermarket in Truro Plaza, Pmb 08/12/2023 and paid for items 07h18am by an elderly cashier Mehamood who was most pleasant, polite, friendly in his customer service towards us.

Left this supermarket and realized when checked till slip few minutes later that I had been charged normal price R18, 99 x 4 on a promo that was displayed get 2 for R30 Close Up Toothpastes which should have been R60.

Upon this I drove back to this store which is a waste of petrol, time also an inconvenience, told Mehamood what happened so a 1st manager was called Msizi then a 2nd manager Phindile (Mano) as I had to explain few times we were over charged and wanted it rectified so they can refund me for the difference of R15, 96.

It's very disappointing the customer service, responses, body language towards me whom is the customer when I told the 2 managers that when we were there buying the promo sheet was displayed and when I got there again to complain it had been suddenly removed.

Msizi decides to take out R10 from his wallet (not from the cashiers till) to give to send me away without even taking the time to listen to what I was saying or even trying to understand then comes Phindile who says to me the promo finished yesterday but how does that become my problem if their duty of removing promo signage wasn't done in time.

I didn't appreciate being made a fool by those 2 so called managers especially being in a position like that as I too come from a retail environment because if that happens we give the customer the price or promo on the shelf as we want them to leave happy also to come again.

The mangers said they can't refund the over charge as promo ended yesterday and that's the new price so it basically means I wasn't gonna get assisted at all and that I must accept the price I was charged of R75, 96.

Therefore I went and brought back the 4 toothpastes and asked for a full refund which was finally done by Phindile 08/12/2023 at 07h58am and I emphasized will never shop at their store again also will tell other people about my bad experience at this Check Save Supermarket that their customer service wasn't nice being managers, she got all worked up......like seriously.

This is a case of wrong people for the wrong job as they seem frustrated, no way of communicating with a customer and for the life of me I can't understand how or on what merit did they get hired as those 2 managers need to be sent for further training
