Santa Bianca "Extra virgin olive oil" maybe a vegetable oil according the the labeling

I am writing to raise a serious concern about the Santa Bianca “Extra Virgin Olive Oil” I recently purchased through your platform.

I have been buying Santa Bianca olive oil for some time, and I recently placed an order for six bottles during your recent special. The product is clearly advertised and labelled as Extra Virgin Olive Oil, yet when I decided to read the ingredient list almost though the first bottle of my new order, I was shocked to find it states “vegetable oil.”

This is extremely misleading and unacceptable. Consumers purchase this product believing it to be 100% pure extra virgin olive oil — not a vegetable-oil blend. I avoid vegetable oils at all costs as I know how toxic they are. If this ingredient list is correct, it means the product is being falsely represented and sold under an incorrect label, which would be a violation of the Consumer Protection Act and food-labelling regulations.

I also want to raise the possibility that this may be a labelling or packaging error, as authentic extra virgin olive oil should clearly list the ingredient as “100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil” — nothing else. If that is not the case here, the labels need to be seen to.

To make matters worse, this same product is being promoted under the Discovery Vitality program as a “healthy” food item, further misleading consumers who trust both Checkers and Discovery to provide accurate product information.
