Rotten, mouldy strawberries delivered — this keeps happening

I am extremely disappointed with my Checkers Sixty60 order.

I ordered a 250g punnet of strawberries for R34.99, and when I opened the packaging I found multiple strawberries covered in visible mould.

One of them was severely rotten, with extensive white mould growth.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that this is not the first time I have received rotten strawberries from Checkers.

At this point, it is becoming a recurring quality-control issue rather than an isolated incident. The order was placed on 15 September 2026 at 11:01 and delivered at 11:40.

I understand that fresh produce can deteriorate, but this level of mould should have been noticed during picking/packing. The strawberries should have been inspected before being sent to a customer.

I would like Checkers to please investigate this with the store/Sixty60 picking team and explain what is being done to prevent this from happening repeatedly.

I also expect a refund for the strawberries. I have photographs of the product, packaging, date sticker and the order details as evidence.
