A Most Unworthy Service by Driver Dillon Edward Plaatjies (CY149518)

To Whom It May Concern,

It is with considerable dismay that I must address the wholly unsatisfactory experience I endured with your delivery service.

Yesterday, I placed an order through your application, accompanied by clear and explicit instructions that the driver should call upon arrival at the gate. I was present at the gate well in advance of the expected time. Yet, to my astonishment, I received a notification declaring the delivery had “failed due to no response from the customer.”

Let it be plainly stated: the driver neither approached my street nor my gate, nor did he attempt to make the requested call. This omission is not a mere inconvenience—it is an affront to the very standard of service one has every right to expect. The fact that this failure originates from your N1 City branch does not surprise me, for it is precisely for such reasons that I avoid shopping there.

Further compounding this grievance is the matter of your call centre. While one may argue that your 08600 line is toll-free, such a claim neglects the realities of modern telecommunications. Telkom lines are all but obsolete, and many cell contracts do not cater for these so-called toll-free numbers. Thus, your customers bear additional, unnecessary costs when seeking resolution to problems of your own making.

And let it be noted for the record: the driver in question, Mr. Dillon Edward Plaatjies (CY149518), bears direct responsibility for this failure. His negligence and disregard reflect poorly not only upon himself, but upon the company that entrusts him with its reputation. To any prospective employer or interviewer who may happen upon this name, I urge you to take heed: service of this nature is unlikely to withstand the demands of excellence required in any respectable establishment.

You must ask yourselves—do you aspire to offer service so exquisite, so distinguished, that it sets you apart as a beacon of customer care? Or shall you continue to subject your patrons to indifference, excuses, and hollow gestures? For myself, I expect nothing less than service executed with precision, courtesy, and integrity. Anything beneath such a standard is unworthy of your name.

I trust this matter shall be addressed with the seriousness it demands.

Yours, in expectation of excellence, Yagie Perumal
