Checkers Outdoor sale ends before advertised date

On Saturday 12 September I visited the Checkers Outdoor retailer in Hazyview and saw that they had a sale on until 20th Sept. This was even stayed in their sale catalogue. I identified 3 different products that I was interested in and decided to assess my budget before purchasing them. I returned on Monday 14th only to be told that the sale had ended early and the products were no longer available at the discounted sale price. They also still had stock of what I was interested in and even the Weber gas braai that I had wanted to purchase stood on the floor but was now full price and no longer had the R8000 discount. Is it legal to end a sale before the date advertised on their catalogue? I am awaiting a reply to the complaint I sent to Checkers consumer *** address.
