Shocking Hygiene Violations at Checkers Northdene Deli!

I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by the shocking state of hygiene at the Checkers Northdene Deli. It is beyond unacceptable — it’s vile, filthy, and unfit for any human being to purchase food from. The complete lack of accountability and negligence from both staff and management is deeply disturbing.

My very first encounter should have been a red flag — I noticed tiny ****roaches crawling on the open cakes at the bakery section. When I pointed this out to the lady serving, I was horrified to watch her casually dust off the ****roaches and return the cakes to the shelf as if nothing had happened. No concern for public health, no apology — just pure carelessness.

But today was the final straw. I witnessed multiple flies swarming over their grilled chicken, and when I raised my concern to the deli assistant, she blatantly ignored me and continued serving other customers — with flies crawling all over the food. That is absolutely repulsive.

What’s worse is the attitude of the so-called manager, Mr. Ndlovu, who shows zero leadership or urgency to fix this escalating health hazard. His dismissive and passive approach proves that hygiene and customer safety are clearly not a priority at this branch.

I will no longer remain silent — this matter is being escalated to higher authorities. I strongly advise anyone who values their health to stay far away from the Deli at Checkers Northdene. It is a disgrace, and a serious health risk.
