Embrassed I front of store by security because you explicitly FORGOT to pay for an item.

After paying for our groceries we walked out and security stopped us at the door, requesting to see the slip he informed us that we didn't pay for an item. We had a 2 year old with us so it was a bit chaotic in store, my partner had accidentally put an empty hot foods packet in his pocket while trying the testers in store. Anyway after insisting that it was by fault we went back to pay for it. To which we were informed we can't just pay we MUST see the manager. The manager was confused and said we just need to pay for the item at the till as it was a MISTAKE. We presumed the matter was handled after we settled the bill of R30. We walked out the store again where we were met by the security of Checkers liquor store. He then accused us of being REGULAR *****S apparently and said we were no longer allowed to shop at CHECKERS. Mind you he was shouting at us, telling my partner that he will be "handled" if he steps foot in store. Imagine the horror that my 2 year old son had to endure witnessing this Big Man go off and some female security giving background chorus AFTER everything was handled. It was so Embarrassing and uncalled for
