Terrible, shocking
DISGUSTING, RAW MEAT AND MEAT THATS MARINATED TO DISGUISE BEING OFF. Extremely disappointed with the service and food quality at Checkers Glen Balad. Yesterday, I purchased a full grilled chicken from the store for my family's dinner, only to get home and discover that the chicken was completely raw in the centre. I had no choice but to drive approximately 9km back to the store to return it. The staff replaced it with chicken pieces as they were out of stock of the full grilled chickens, and thankfully those were fine. However, my family had to wait for dinner while I drove back and forth to correct a mistake that should never have happened. Unfortunately, the very next day, I experienced another serious issue. Today, I purchased a marinated chicken quarter leg from the butchery. I took it home and cooked it in my air fryer. Once it was fully cooked and I cut into it, I was met with a terrible foul smell. The chicken was clearly spoiled. I am extremely concerned that the strong marinade may have been used to disguise the condition of the meat before selling it to customers. I immediately returned to Checkers Glen Balad and spoke to the manager, Terrence. He offered me a refund and another meal, which I declined because after two incidents in two days, I simply no longer trust the deli or meat products from this particular store. This is also not the first time my family has experienced issues with spoiled meat purchased there. I asked whether I could at least be compensated for my fuel, considering this was the second day in a row that I had to drive back and forth — approximately 9km each way — because of mistakes made by the store. I was told that they could not compensate me for my fuel. Terrence then contacted his regional manager, Eugene Andrews. Unfortunately, I found the conversation with him extremely dismissive and unhelpful, and the situation became heated. What is most disappointing is that I have been a loyal customer at Checkers Glen Balad for over 7 years. Is this really the level of service and quality that loyal customers should expect? Selling raw chicken one day and spoiled chicken the next is completely unacceptable, especially when families are relying on these products for their meals. On top of that, I am expected to use my own time and fuel to repeatedly return products due to the store's mistakes. I would appreciate Checkers taking this matter seriously, investigating the food quality and handling practices at Checkers Glen Balad, and providing proper feedback regarding what will be done to prevent this from happening to other customers. Two days. Two separate chicken products. Two unnecessary trips back to the store. My family's dinner disrupted, my time wasted, and my fuel costs coming out of my own pocket. I am extremely disappointed and would like this matter to be addressed seriously.

They sell expired meat and expired dairy
They sell expired meat and expired dairy. This is not the first time but it will be the last time. That Checkers is filthy and not up to health standards. How do they still operate with out any quality control? My husband was admitted to hospital yesterday due to expired dairy. Stay away from this dirty Checkers 😤
