Worst customer service experience

On the 8th October I bought ****** from Checkers Silverlakes I got home and administered this and later on at night came down with a terrible fever, sever night sweats and shortness of breathe... the next day I had some more of this ****** in my tea as a cure for my flu since I'm pregnant and not taking any medication but as I chopped up the rest of the ****** I learned that it was rotten (brown and slimy). I consulted my GP who advise that I would need further medical evaluation due to this. I submitted a complaint on the checkers website with pictures of the product and receipts and offered an amount of R1102 on condition that I discharge this store of any lawsuits and accountability should I / My unborn baby later have any complications I spoke to Minah at the store & explained why I will not be signing this document, who referred my case to Wendy ( Who was rude and asked me why I am calling her) in their Insurance dept who I contacted and suggested that I bought a fresh product and me falling ill was due to my pregnancy and that there's nothing that they could do about the matter since I refused to signed the document that I was presented with.
