Worst checkers ever

I LOVE checkers. By far my fav grocery place ever. Specials are always great and they have what I need all the time. HOWEVER the checkers on Mackeurtan Av in Durban (the one next to bluff meat supply) absolutely sucks.

For starters, the parking lot is incredibly dangerous. Most times I come there the street vendors harass you for money or the car guards swear at you if you don’t give them anything. Out of fear for my car most of the time I just draw money or wait for the car guard to walk away and then drive out.

Secondly the checkers staff are rude and never ever speak. One out of 10 employees will greet you or ask you if you need help.

Third, there is never enough staff. In the last two weeks, both times I went there I stood in the express line for over 30 minutes. The first time was a random day in the week and I thought maybe it had to do with time I went so it wasn’t too bad but after going there 6 days later and having the same issue ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY (generally a day when people go shopping for things they need for the holiday) they were severely understaffed and when I asked what the hold up was in the line the staff member said “please calm down, the supervisor is coming now” Excuse me?? I’ve never been so disrespected. 3 people in the line walked out of the store and decided to go to the checkers down the road.

I hate this checkers and I will not be returning. Management needs to get a grip on their staff and someone needs to tell the bakery that their cakes are awful, dry and in need of proper care.
