worms in my food

To whom it my concern

I would like to inform you about an event that took place at Cherckers Kosmosdal cooked section.

I went to Cherckers Kosmosdal as pre normal and as per my everyday shopping cause I live and work very close to Cherckers Kosmosdal , I got food from for lunch which was Chicken and chips , I paid and left as per normal and went back to work . I started eating my food and while I was eating I found midge / worms/ chironomus in the meat which I was eating , I had to vomit and yet not all the food I had was coming out . I went back to Cherckers Kosmosdal with one of the people I work with as he also saw the worms with the rest of my team and one of them took a picture, when we got to the store the manager on duty could only apologize and give me a refund of the food and that is all she could do, which I found was really how other customers have been helped, I kept quite took the refund of R26 or R27 and walked away. I got to work and started vomiting again, went to the clinic at work, they advised that they don’t have anything to clean my tummy and I should find other ways or go to Clicks, got to Clicks they give me something to drink so that my tummy can be cleaned out. I just wanted to know what is your operating standard procedure when coming to food and how the food is prepared and sold to the customers, which type of food should be resold to the customer, does your food get checked every day or is it just put back or sold back to clients. I want to know if you follow the rules and regulations of the food industry, do you follow the consumer protection act also when coming to food. I should maybe lodge a complaints as I believe that a lot of people that I know that I work with and that stay around kosmosdal will be happy to hear how the food they eat every day is rotten and being sold back to them. I ask myself what if one is poisoned or it was my child that eat that chicken what would have happened. I hope that I will get a better response and a better way of apologize for what happened to me regarding your food. At the time when I come back to bring back the food , the was four ladies that work for Cherckers that can be witnesses and I must also say that the manager at that time refused for them to see the food that had worms which we food strange but did not address at that time . I hope that my complaint does not fall on deaf ears.
