Why Not Remove Damage Goods from the Shelves

Yesterday I went to the Mall of Africa store and noticed a damaged box of eggs and alerted the staff, was reassured it's the only damaged one. I bought the eggs only to find a cracked and rotten egg in the package. The quality check really has room for improvement.
