What a terrible experience for just bringing back the cheese that has a funny taste. This is not the 1st time returning stuff to Checkers Brooklyn. Is the quality that is sold there questionable?

I bought Lancewood Gouda Cheese at Brooklyn Mall. That is the brand we have been using for a very long time. The cheese that I bought had a funny taste. Immediately when I cut it - the 1st bite that I took had the taste. I did not even finish the slice. I then took the cheese and put it in my fridge and told myself that I am going to return that cheese when we go to buy our essentials next time. Our helper got the cheese, made some food for the kids (7 year old, 5 year old and a 3 year old). Our kids did not finish the bread with that cheese. This is the 2nd time having the same expecience with the cheese. I then took it back to Checkers today. When I arrived at the shop the lady by the name of Jossina assisted me and gave me a refund. I asked her nicely if we should always keep slips in from buying at that Checkers. The lady after few minutes came to as I was buying some other essential from the shop and suggested to me that I should maybe buy a different brand because maybe there's a flaw with my taste buds because she bought the same cheese and did not have a problem with it. Does that mean that I do not know how Gouda cheese tastes? Does that mean the kids who did not even finish the bread with that cheese have a flaw with their taste buds? Does it mean that we are stupid? What did Jossina mean? As customers we are supposed to be subscribed to buy something by a front line store controller? Don't I deserve the little courtesy of respect as a customer and being treated like one? Telling me that something might be wrong with my taste buds because she eats that cheese and no other customer has brought back that cheese. Where does Jossina get the nerve to say that to me? If she is a doctor she might as well come and check me with the kids and then she can prescribe the cheese she would prefer that we use.
