WARNING : DEBIT CARDS DO NOT WORK AT CHECKERS HYPER EASTGATE

On Friday the 15th of October I went to do groceries at Checkers Hyper, Eastgate and my debit card did not work. When I spoke to the manager, he said they have been having problems with they speed points and accepting debit cards. When I paid the money left my account but the store didn’t receive it. This Checkers did not have any notice to warn customers that they having problems with they speed point instead they let customers swipe they cards and when the transaction is incomplete they claim it is not they problem and you need to sort it out with the bank and you can’t take your groceries. I would warn anyone that if you want to go through fighting with the bank and Checkers, pay using your debt card. The store promised my money will be back in 48 hours because this has happened “before” BUT THE SITUATION STILL IS NOT FIXED. I would say that anyone who purchases there must do so at the risk that they card will not work.
