Mirriam Mpho Mohakabe On the 25th of August 2019 I went Checkers in Mall of Africa going to do my groceries at about 4:45 and 5:00 I lost my handbag inside the store when I run to the securities they took their time to assist me till I shout not fit them to recognise me that my handbag was ******,after few minutes the control room security came to asked me questions about my belongings and I told him the whole story and he just said sorry without any remorse till I requested them to look for the footage which took them 20 minutes to come back to me in that time no one even the store manager to come and say something or come to sympathies with me no instead I was the talk of the day which I feel that checkers hyper head office needs to do something.after 30 minutes my bag was recovered by one of the staff members and I was called to the information desk which they were three women and the security guy which I was asked by the four of them what colour is the bag and I told them it’s brown and in the middle size which they just took it under their seat and gave it to me without them checking if I lost anything and I had to check for myself were I realize that I lost my phone. Huawei P30 and an amount of 3000 that I was gonna use to buy my groceries....in that they just laughed keep on saying how come I didn’t see the person who took my bag, then they came with a footage that show a guy holding a phone and they say it’s him which is my question is where were the control room securities which they must always be on the camera at all times to make sure the customer are safe even they staff and everything in their store and adding on that the manager Mr Fanie Pretoruis is very rude which he told us to open a case as he can not talk to me and the police must come investigate.the manager doesn’t have customer service maybe because I’m black and adding on that I’ve called checkers head office and I’ve spoke to Bianca Smith whom promise to take my matter to the relevant department that they will call me and even now I’ve never receive a call from anyone from checkers...I was treated unfairly and was abused emotionally and I wish someone from checkers hyper to contact me and advise what are they gonna do with this and the police went to the store to view the footage and certain part are not shown to her which I believe she still waiting for the full footage... 18 hrsLikeMore
