Utter Disgusting Service! WAVERLEY CHECKARS

I wouldn't even give it 1 star!!! Checkers Waverley in Pretoria

I'm never one to complain, but I think its time someone does!!!

These cashiers have no sence of customer service! They don't worry because they know, we all have to go back and spend our money daily! So they will have a job, they don't have to feel anything! Where has the days gone of enjoying your job? Working hard to keep the customers happy?

Yesterday afternoon I went on my daily routine walking around, getting my groceries. When I got to the cashier, same old every day, never been greeted by any one of them, so I carry on, pack my stuff on the counter while she was ringing it through. I asked her for cigarettes, she asked some other lady to get them. Now we stand at look at eachother. She rang the plastic bags up long time ago, but just threw it over the stuff, and we wait. So I asked her if she can't start packing the bags while the other lady is getting the cigarettes? Where she answered, "It's not my job". Well I'm so sorry I rep**** and started packing my own bags. I paid and then went to the money market counter to take a lotto ticket. When I got there, there were 2 cashiers behind the counter, just staring at me, obviously waiting for me to tell them what I want. So I asked them for the lotto ticket, the one cashier sighed so loud, dropped her shoulders and stood up and started the transaction. I then asked her if she is tired and if there is something wrong? They both then had the audacity to ask me, "have I ever worked after I had a lunch hour? Because their stomachs are full, they cant work!" I am self employed! There is no such thing as a lunch hour for me! They can be so happy and privillaged to have a lunch hour, let alone a job! I cant believe I was asked that!

Like I say, they all know we as consumers, have to go there to get our groceries, they will never go without customers. But I will make sure I drive a bit further to do my daily shopping. I spend a minimum of R600 per day at this Checkars. I know without my money there would never make a difference, but I will make a point of it not to go there and get myself upset! I have a 4 month old baby at home! There is no way I must get my blood boiling because of no service!

This is an every day thing at this Checkars! Customer Service doesnt exist there!
