Urgent: Starter pack at Checkers

This is a matter of urgency. Firstly I want to commend Checkers hazyview branch for many years of excellent service.

My current problem is as follow:

This is the first week of the national "lockdown". I am a law enforcement officer and during this time communication is of utmost importance in my work. My Cell C sim card is damaged and I contacted Cell C who advised me to do a Sim swap. They advised me to buy a ce c starter pack at any supermarket and then call them so they can activate the new card on my current contract number. It sounds quite straight forward. Problem is that all the other supermarkets do not have cell c starter packs. Only Checkers have. But.... Checkers Hazyview can't sell me a starter pack without Rica the card. But now my problem is that Cell C specifically told me not to Rica the card as the Sim swap can't be done with a Rica'ed card.

There is two weeks to go in this nationwide lock down and I have no telephonic communication. I am on standby 24 hours as emergency responder but can't be reached by my control room.

All I ask is for Checkers to allow me to buy a starter pack and NOT to reca it so I can do a sum swap on my cell c contract number. Is this at alm possible?

I don't even know if anyone will read this in time. Already spoke to the manager at checkers who told me they won't sell me a starter pack unless they Rica it. But then anyway it is useless to me since Cell C cannot do a Sim swap to a registered card.

Please help.
