unhappy customer

I recently purchased a Russel Hobbs retro black kettle model 21671-56 from your store in Hazeyview. The product was purchased on sale with a red label no ***. This was purchased when I was on holiday. The Tax invoice number is ***.

Upon return at my home, I opened the box and noticed that the base/ heating element of the kettle was not included in the box. I went to the Checkers Hyper Platinum square in Rustenburg to exchange the product. The manager who assisted me was not very helpful and unwilling to assist me.

I wanted to EXCHANGE the product for either the same product or something in the similar price range and was even willing to pay any difference. The manager informed me that i could not exchange or return the product as it was against the company policy for items sold on the "red label". I now have a product that I have paid R500.00 for which is of no use to me.

I am rather upset as I find this hard to believe that a huge company like Checkers has such policies in place. We were not even informed about such policies when we purchased the product. There are also no terms and conditions of sale on the tax invoice as well.
