Unfriendly cashiers & lack of efficiency
A while ago, on the 11th December to be exact, I visited Checkers Cavendish Glen, in Glen Marais as it is the only store I go to in my residential area. It's close to home and convenient. But on this day I went to receive money at the teller through the money market facility. I get there, give the "m" number and I'm about to enter the pin, but get asked who sent the money. I tell her who sent me the money and they decline. Then, after all these months of receiving money in this manner I am told about new rules. Firstly, if there are new rules it would be sensible to put them on display for customers to see them so that they don't look like fools when they do certain transactions in the store. Nevertheless, after I showed the manager my cell and the text I received the money. I left the store really unhappy and vouched I'll never return to support them again. But, why should I refrain from going there, and go far as it is down the road from my home. So, yesterday, on the 16th Dec. I return to book a bus ticket, first and foremost, I always have to greet the cashiers and it's not the other way around. These ladies have bad attitudes and they never stop having their conversation whilst helping a customer. The convo will continue while they are assisting the client, but that is beside my matter right now as that has been something that I've been accustomed to since nothing ever gets done and the attitude of the cashiers clearly never change. I went to book my ticket and was told unfortunately I have to go all the way to Park Station in Jhb to book. I tried to refrain from going there as I was booking for departure from Midrand and did not want to drive so far. I then delayed booking and missed out on getting a ticket for the day I wanted to because apparently I couldn't book at checkers because my details will not appear when I get to the bus stop. So my question is, how and when will the "booking issue" be resolved or will these cashiers ever change the attitude. I'm really fed up with this bad attitude I receive as I am a customer. I personally work in retail and would never even think of treating my clients in such a terrible manner. I am deeply appalled at this behavior and now have to be inconvenienced with traveling further because I refuse to go back to this store.
