unfairly treated and arrogant staff with bad service

Bought an MTN staterpack/simcard at Checkers Vincent. I put the sincard on after a few minutes and i got a message that its RICA BARRED. I assumed it was not ricad so I called the store to report this and they said i must go to the nearest Shoprite since I had already left Vincent by then. But it was too late as i had already left town by then. I decided to call MTN call center to see if they could solve this misery for me, but unfortunately they couldn't as they said "the simcard is registered but its barred from RICA because it has been used or recycled more than six times and there's nothing they can do", so they gave me a number to call but unfortunately their RICA department doesn't work on weekends so i had to wait until today (Monday). When i called that department today they told me they can't hepl because this simcard's number has been recycled too many times. So i decided to return the simcard since it of noo use to me. I spoke to this lady named ZIKHONA GUDULA and she proudly told me they can't take it back and give me a new one, it not their "policy". My thing is, they sold me a damaged simcard and its their obligation to give me a new simcard that is working. This not the first time I've bought a damaged simcard, and I've had noo problems being given a new one that works, at other shops like PeP for example. This is not about the money bcz i can always go and buy a new simcard but this is about principle and my fair treatment as a paying customer. Am soo disappointed at Checkers and their service.
