Truckloads too late...

<p>A neighbour has lodged this complaint with the manager of Checkers, Equinox Mall, Jeffreys Bay a few weeks ago. However, it does not seem like they did anything about the complaint and therefore this report.</p> <p>The deli truck of Shoprite is supposed to arrive while the shop is open, so it can offload. But ever so often it only arrives to deliver stuff at about 8 in the evening. But by this time the Checkers store is already closed. So what does the driver do? He idles the refrigerated truck the WHOLE NIGHT right across the road from a residential area. The noise keeps us awake the whole night.</p> <p>We have asked the manager of Checkers before to tell the driver to go stop at the Truck Stop out of town for the night when such a situation arises, but unfortunately they made empty promises. </p> <p>Last night I got out of bed in the cold at half past 9 as I was not planning to spend another night awake. I walked all the way to Checkers to make sure it is their truck and it was: Registration nr : CF 81965 with Shoprite banner on the sides. But you cant get to the driver. So I phoned the police and luckily they sorted out the matter within half an hour.</p> <p>This is really unacceptable!!!</p>
