Tough times in SA and service delivery failure

Good day, I tried logging my complaint yesterday but Peter wasn't working, hence I am writing today. We are all in for hardships in the country at the moment and food is our way of living. to my disappointment when I purchased some ham on Sunday 01/05/16 and opened it yesterday, it was old and dried out. I support Checkers because they have affordable prices and good quality but unfortunately they have let me down this month. How can an employee provide the client with such quality food? are they not trained to throw away old product? I work hard for my income and do not want to see any food wasted unnecessarily.
