Torn safety seal

Yesterday I bought bliss yoghurt at checkers in Sandton, and without checking i bought it and when I got home I saw that the safety seal was torn. I think the issue of trusting shops is wrong...with what we facing now, I had to throw it away cause i dont know if someone took it and spit on it or what. Can such things be checked regularly, cause its waste of money and no safety precautions for us.
