They lie about sale prices when there’s no sale

I bought a plush animal at Checkers Hyper in Kolonnade Mall on the 25th of Jan that was on sale from R 99.99 to R50. When I checked the slip at home it’s still R99.99. Why do you lie and say something is on sale when it’s not.
