Terrible Chicken Suprise

Yesterday I bought the roast chicken special at Checkers Hyper Blueroute for 69.99. It comes with a 1.5 Coke Zero. What a disappointment the chicken was! It looked like a chocolate chicken inside. Probably overcooked and sat for many hours or perhaps a day or 2 in the warmer. Truly disgusting. From a previous experience, I know they do not respond, I did not even bother to call them.

The worst thing about prepared foods promotions is that quality control is often neglected due to volumes. Stock rotation and temperature checks are the least of their concerns. It's difficult to manage/police, but with food it simply have to be done! Customers lives and health are at stake. So another 70 rand down the drain, but I paid for my stupidity of buying a cooked chicken in a brown paper bag. It's like buying a lucky packet, each one you open is a mystery.
