T'is the Season to advertise falsely!

<p> </p> <p>Last week I went to Checkers to pay my Utility accounts, and found that the store was quiet and that there was a promotion offering "SAVE OVER R5000 INSTANTLY WITH EEZICOUPONS."</p> <p>"GET INSTANT SAVINGS WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR CELL NUMBER AT THE TILL"</p> <p>NO T'S AND C'S !</p> <p> </p> <p>After shopping for over 1 and half hours, I finally got to the till with a fully laden trolley, and asked the cashier how this offer applies. She told me that everything is automatic and my savings will show up on the screen after she has swiped all the goods.</p> <p>When my goods were neatly packed in 2 trolleys, and my credit card in hand, ready to pay R1930, I entered my cell number, and a big sign appeared on the screen</p> <p>"NO SAVINGS"!</p> <p>I was gob-smacked! Called the supervisor, who came to tell me that she was sorry, there was nothing she could do, the goods I had chosen were not included in the offer!</p> <p>She called the Regional Manager who confirmed that nothing was to be done!</p> <p>I left my trolleys and walked out.</p> <p>It seems that store owners are out to trap the public by enticing them to buy in their stores, knowing that time is limited, and the consumer will probably not argue, as they have spent all that time already shopping, and cannot afford to spend more timeshopping at another store. </p> <p> </p>
