Supp**** microwave glass turntable for R5!

A few weeks ago, I clumsily dropped and broke my landlord's microwave glass turntable.

THe microwave brand was unfami**** to me, so I Googled it to find out who it was made by. My search showed that this brand of microwave was sold by Checkers.

I put the pieces together on the kitchen counter (much like a jigsaw!) and made a note of its dimensions and any writing thereon.

I then went to the largest Checkers in my area (St Johns, Pinetown) and searched the appliance department for the turntable with no luck. I then asked for assistance. The staff member couldn't help, but said he would bring the head of that department. Said gentleman was there soon after and I explained my problem. He said that they didn't sell the turntable seperately (Cue sad face) but often had unfixable returns that still had their turntables (Cue hopeful face).

He returned about five minutes later with the exact same turntable and said that I could have it but would have to pay a nominal amount for it (Cue happy face). He followed me to the till and told the cashier to ring up the turntable for R5! (Cue ecstatic face!)

He would not give me his name and said that he required no praise from me or his seniors and that pleasing customers was satisfaction enough.
