Super service at Checkers

This is now the second time in a short while where I have to compliment staff where I didn't expect it. I did my usual weekly grocery shopping last night at the Emmarentia store of Checkers. After I paid, I left the shop with a basket trolley to load everything into my car. I took two packets of groceries from the top basket and left the trolley. As I got home, I discovered that I didn't have all my groceries. I panicked because by now the store had closed. I phoned Checkers around 08.00 this morning and a friendly voice enquired about the reason for my call. I explained my situation and she asked me to phone her back in five minutes. Just to give her time, I gave her ten minutes. She answered me in a cheerful voice that I left my food in another basket on the trolley and that I should come and pick up my stuff. I was told that a lady who works as security staff at the door found my food and made a note in her book of everything that was in the bag. She even jotted down that there was a bag. The supervisor asked me to fetch everything from the shelf since I knew exactly where and what I had. When I left the store, the security lady asked me to just sign her book that I received everything. She was so friendly, honest and helpful that I really think she deserves a star for these qualities that she displayed. A big thank you to the Checkers staff at Emmarentia.
