Staff who lie to customers

I was standing at the till point when 1 customer bought a swimming pool the one with the step ladder and pump. He paid infront of me R1800 for the swimmingpool. They still fetched the barcode with price and scanned it for him. When i phoned the shop to keep 1 for me the lady named badia told me that they will keep 1.. I then spoke to another guy who told me there is no more stock when i told him i was just in the store but did not have enough caah with me he then said oh no he will find out for me about the pool as there is now all of a sudden but for R6000. When i told that guy that i was just there when that guy bought the pool he said i must hold he will speak to the manager. Only to come back to me to say that they kept that swimming pool for 2 weeks for that guy as i know it was a lie. Him and gis wife was just in the store saw the price and bought it. So i dont know why is the staff not talking the truth. Its not good for business if staff lie to customers who spent money there. I would appreciate it if someone can keep me 1 pool and let me know when i can pick it up for R1800 the same price i saw it been sold for.
