Smelly, dirty, unhygienic Checkers Knysna

I went to Checkers in Knysna yesterday (09.03.2021) to purchase bread and milk. Upon entering i noticed that the store smelled worse than ever before. It was much worse than the day or week before. Walking to the back of the store, it became worse! The smell was so thick you could almost taste it. The smell of rotten meat, sour milk, dirty mops and what seemed to be dead rats. At the bakery it smelled like someone had soiled themselves.its an absolute disgrace. How do managers, supervisors and staff not notice this? Are they so used to work in that environment? Where is the pride? Where is the cleanliness? Where is the respect for customers. I got to the tills in front and asked the cashier where the supervisor or manager is? She said that they are in the office and rarely comes out. I asked her why the store stinks like this. She said most customers complained but nothing is done about it. It idnso sad that staff also complain about this and its not sorted out. I am horrified. Whats happening? Does head office ever visit and do they notice these things? Clearly not... I've complained numerous times. A block down the road, you find Pick n Pay. Their store is clean and doesn't smell like Checkers does. I won't be back! Ever! Better and better - thats a joke...
