Sixty60 is a lie, its Thirtyfive35
I'm at home with my wife, daughter and her 9 month old during the lockdown. At 76 years old I rate myself IT literate. This is a positive story for #SupportLocal so I won't name the stores that annoyed me, but I need to set the scene with, lets call it my "Bad Luck" story first. Every Friday my wife and I go for a totter around Checkers Northgate it is better exercise than online shopping.
My impression of the adverts for the Sixty60 was that they were just getting going, so I tried to register and do my first home shopping with the two major online stores. Each took me over two hours to register and work my way through a modest 16 item shopping list. At the "Till", the first store asked me to choose a delivery time in 11 days time!! The second store said I could collect my order from the store itself in a week, I didn't ask for a delivery day. I took my wrath out on my computer, which fortunately survived.
This afternoon I plucked up courage and decided to try our old friends at Checkers. The Sixty60 app was quickly downloaded onto my phone. I registered chop chop, and I was advised that if I ordered now the delivery would be with me in 60 minutes. I had a good laugh and murmured bu....it (so my wife wouldn't be offended). 35 minutes, YES 35 minutes, after completing my order, it arrived at my front door. Thanks to GPS location, it had been directed to our local store at Bryanpark. Well done to them, I guess we will be tottering around their store when we are let out - it will also save me petrol money. Local is best
