selling of expired goods

It is with a heavy heart that I write this email to your complaints and PR department. On the 16/04/2020 I purchased a Thai glutinous rice from your shop for R89.98 and to my surprise the item expired on 09/03/2020. How does such a thing happen? How many people have been affected by your negligence? How many people have ingested this product and got sick? This is not acceptable, I am very upset, action needs to be taken to correct this. What are my rights regarding the above?
