Security items sold way passed expiry date

Bought two pepperspray canasters from Checkers Hyper, Parklands on Saturday the2nd August 2023 from the tent area outside the shop where Checkets sell som marked down items. Thes pepper spray canisters were marked down to R10 and as me and my wife (both pensionets) often walk alone on ou beach neatby we thought to get these for ou protection. Ariving home i found that both these items have an expiry date of 09/2020. I found this a disgrace as these items can not be tested and would probably not work if needed in a emergency. Shame on you Checkets Hyper. Shure you make enough money to destroy these items that are way pass there expiry date.
