Rude Manager - when asked about staff hygiene

<p>We went to your store At the brookside mall in pietermaritzburg. we ordered 2 pancakes which were made instore. the lady was not wearing a hairnet or gloves. when i asked she then put on the hairnet, touching her hair etc. She then turned the pancake over and with the same unwashed hands touched the pancake and smoothed it out as it was overlapping. i asked to speak to the Manager, Mr Shaik. i Explained the situation to him and asked about the hygiene. he was very rude, defending his staff amd embarassed my family. he states that they mandated to wash their hands. But the lady touched her hair in front of us and didnot wash her hand when she touched the pancake. he then explains the whole health act etc. then he says by law the staff are not allowed to wear gloves. i then pointed out that they ought to use a larger spatuler which angers him even more. we cannot be treated like this as clients, there are so many diseases going around. please Shoprite teach your managers the imporatance of hygiene and customer service. he was very arrogant. by the way i was overcharged by R30 for a cheese cake. they did refubd ne tho.</p>
