Rude!

At the front of the store they have random items displayed - one of which was a garden ornament with lights. I'd noticed it in a previous Checkers but wanted to have a better look and picked up the only one of the 3 that wasn't already chipped and broken. No price? I carried it through the store while we picked up the various items as there was no one around to ask for assistance. Waited in a queue to ask for the price and accepted it.. I asked for a box so it wouldn't break and received a lot of attitude..I asked for an assistant to please get a box and received more attitude - the cashier, obviously annoyed at this point, put through my card about 6 times despite me telling her if there's a problem I'll give her another card.. so my card was blocked. My phone rang immediately to inform me of this and as I tell her, she tells me that I'm wrong cause it only went through once - why would you argue when I'm telling you that I just got an automated message from the bank. No apology or niceties, she shoved the slip at us and that was it - come to think of it, she didn't even greet us?!
