Rotten meat- Checkers Sixty 60

I bought a few grocery items, Friday at Checkers via Checkers 60, bought chicken and pork as I was preparing to braai, they were both rotten and smelling, tried to complain, but I was told about the 48-hour rule? how can you apply 48-hour rule to something I did not even open? I never had this problem with Pick n Pay at all. The lady said there is nothing they can do. Order number : ***2A
