Rotten Meat

I bought Oxtail at Eastgate Checkers Hyper on 2015/08/02 (approx 17h00). I placed the meat in the refrigerator overnight. When I opened the meat at 05h30 (2015/08/03), there was a ********** smell and the meat is definitely rotten. I am very unhappy due to the following:<br> - the planned dinner for tonight has to be cancelled<br> - the other ingredients (ie stock cubes dissolved in water, flour mixed with spices, onions that was chopped) in prep for the stew, has to go to waste<br> - I bought vegetables to add to the stew<br> - the kitchen / scullery area smells **********<br> - we, as the consumer, will probably be expected to take the meat back to the shop (at our own expense, with the ********** smell and it being unhygenic and unsafe)
