Rottem Fruit - Hygiene - Fridges

Yesterday 03 Sept we tried to shop at Checkers Sandton City. The Naartjies and other fruit were either rotten or old - the fridges for the cheese were not working properly and the cheese was old - the vegetables were old - the meat was dull and old - just everything was either poor quality or old - we gave up. On paying for some items the till counter was sticky , dirty and un-hygienic - I was surprised as this was Sandton City were you might expect quality and other checkers branches that I have shopped for example Brits Mall is generally excellent. Never again - Woollies is worth the price as this Checkers is an absolute disgrace and I would consider saying it could be dangerous to ones health. Such an operation would be closed down in many countries!! Maybe its reflecting the drop in the rand....
