****roaches at Checkers Stellenbosch

Today, 11 April 2020 at around 14:25, I did my essential grocery shopping at Checkers Stellenbosch (Mill street) - I paid my groceries at counter 8. Upon my request the cashier cleaned the counter with sanitiser - she took longer than expected and subsequently sprayed doom in a corner on.the counter. Curious to know what was going on I saw that there were several ****roaches running around on the counter where my food was being scanned. I asked to speak to Management, the store mananger was not available and I spoke to another lady that was in charge, I assume she was a supervisor - she apologised but at that point I was fuming! I cannot believe that a grocery store would be infested with ****roaches, a place where we buy food - if the.****roaches run around on the counters, I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. I am utterly disappointed in Checkers, as this is the store where I.buy all my.groceries every month.
