Refuse to fix or replace faulty Machine

I bought a heavy-duty stand mixer from checkers Mayville on 18 June 2021 the machine broke I went back to the shop to return it I was told there is nothing they can do as tge warranty is about to expire I must buy a new one. The machine is still under warranty. The manager told me to buy a new machine as there is nothing they can do . Is this how Checkers treat people and where is the value for money. I bought a machine to last me for a longer period it broke while still within guarantee and am told I must just deal with a faulty machine.
